A variety of ownership but City of Cody has majority ownership and purpose of lake is primarily for water supply. Beck Lake is non-alkaline and supports fish and is adjacent to Alkalai Lake which is alkaline. Beck Lake and Alkalai Lake compose a network of shallow wetlands and open water ponds.
