la mia subitta partensa vi avera sorpreso ma non potei impedirmi di andar a dire adio a M.a mazarini la quale desiderava vedermi; ma la trovai partita et percio subitto me ne ritornai conforme avevo promesso a sua A. R; non mi est stato permesso rientrar nel convento et percio sono venuta in casa del Sigr principe di carignano iudicando non poter star in altro loco con piu decoro et conveniensa; mi a riceuto
et mi tratta benissimo i miei nepoti che sono quy mi tengono bona compagnia; et sono molto bene allevati; spero listesso de miei ragazi li quali abraccio di tutto core et mi confermo al solito vostra

My sudden departure will have surprised you, but I couldn't keep myself from going to say good-bye to Madame Mazarin, who wished to see me; but I found her gone, and so I returned from there at once, just as I had promised His Royal Highness. I was not allowed to reenter the convent, and so I came to the house of the Prince of Carignan, judging that there could be no more decent and proper place for me to stay. He welcomed me
and he is treating me extremely well. My nephews who are here are keeping me good company, and they are very well brought up.
I hope the same is true for my boys, whom I embrace with all my heart, and I assure you that I am as always your
